Our Belle Chasse office is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to assist our Accounting Manager with all aspects of the monthly financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
Standard month end journal entries including accruals
Maintain asset depreciation
Maintain amortization schedules
Calculate and record monthly depreciation and amortization expense
General ledger account and subledger analysis (A/P)
Month end analysis and review of accounts
Sales tax application for accounts receivable
Process annual 1099 forms for all entities
Inventory management
Monthly bank reconciliations
File Personal property tax self-assessment forms
Requirements
