Accounting Assistant

The Accounting Assistant will assist with ensuring that the company’s financial accounts are properly managed. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the company’s financial transactions are accurately recorded and that the company is compliant with all applicable accounting policies and procedures. The position reports to the Finance Director and works in a collaborative environment.

Essential Functions:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations for the company
• Record and post accounting transactions and transactions involving money
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany payments, and bank deposits
• Reconcile financial statements and reports
• Prepare reconciliations of bank deposits, credit card payments, payroll, etc.
• Prepare reconciliations of intercompany payments and reconciliations of various tax payments
• Prepare payroll reconciliation
• Assist with month end close and year end audit support activities
• Audit financial transactions of other companies in the company or in the business environment
• Audit financial transactions of company employees or other third party payer

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in AR, cash applications or accounting required.
• ADVANCED Excel Skills Necessary
