Full Time: 36-40 hours per week
Perform a variety of administrative and accounting support functions requiring comprehensive experience, skill, and knowledge of organizational and accounting policies and practices.
Education, Experience, & Skills (Minimum Requirement):
Required: High school diploma with 2 years of related experience in business, accounting or bookkeeping position. Oral and written communication skills sufficient to interpret and apply policies and procedures and exceptional customer service experience required. Preferred: Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree in accounting or business related field.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Verifies reconciliation of tills and cash box and keeps appropriate amounts of cash on hand.
Prepares daily deposit
Validates data and verifies detailed reports for accuracy and takes independent action to rectify discrepancies
Works closely with internal and external customers to resolve any financial errors
Following the declined dues policy, notifies customers of billing error and attempts to collect the dues throughout the month
Send overdue membership accounts to collections
Processes and codes invoices and checks for Accounts Payable
Prepares invoices to outside entities for monthly billing of Accounts Receivable
Prepares and maintains certain schedules for month-end close
Assists Business Manager with month-end close entries
Works regularly as a Member Relations team member, to learn, understand and assist the Front Desk processes as they relate to membership accounting and declined dues issues
Provides assistance to Wellness Ed as it relates to Active Older Adult billing and reporting
Assists Human Resources as payroll processing backup
Provides assistance to Human Resources Generalist for HR functions
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
This position has a low risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials. Training is required upon hire and maintained yearly.
