Accountemps has ongoing opportunities for an Accounting Assistant in Central Austin. Accountemps is seeking a candidate for a?a multi-faceted role combining office assisting, bookkeeping, and school operations; perfect for the individual who wants to be integral in growing a small business.

A successful candidate will be self-motivated, multi-faceted, autonomous, meticulous with details, and personally invested in the success of our company. Candidate must have Quick Books experience. Responsibilities and Duties ? Business Office postings to Student ledgers for financial aid and tuition payments. ? Assist with monthly bookkeeping and reconciliation of A/P using QuickBooks. ? Assist with reconciliation of monthly operating bank statements. ? Assist with payroll processing, including entering time sheets in ADP and recording payroll journal entries to QuickBooks. ? Perform general office duties such as filing, ordering for office supplies, and handling routine correspondence, banking, mailing, and any errands related to operational needs of the office management team. ? Keeping financial records up-to-date ? Perform month and year end close process and generate monthly financial reports ? Prepare daily income/sales and prepare journal entry ? Assisting in account analysis and account coding ? Handle tax matters, including student tuition, payroll tax, and property tax; coordinate business tax and franchise tax returns with outside CPA firm ? HR duties including new hire paperwork and benefits administration ? Creation and distribution of weekly/monthly company newsletter. ? Assisting CEO and office staff with various duties/projects as needed. ? Answer main office line and direct calls to the appropriate party. ? Work with Compliance Director and Financial Aid Director as needed. ? Assist in updating/maintaining company social media accounts, advertising and assist with company website. ? Assist Office Manager with AP and Inventory.

Qualifications and

? Bachelor?s degree preferred. A minimum of 2 plus years office experience using Quickbooks. ? Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process a plus but not required. ? Training or experience in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, ADP, Quickbooks, and Publisher.

VIEW JOBS 11/18/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-16T00:00 The Accounting Administrative Assistant provides overall administrative support for the Accounting department and serves as the runner between the two offices; sorting and delivering mail and packages. The position also performs duties to support the Accounts Payable team. We are seeking a candidate who has the ability to multi-task, is highly organized, has a strong attention to detail & is proficient at communication. Critical Duties: * Office management and administrative support for the accounting office, including reporting maintenance items, taking inventory and ordering supplies. * Act as a runner between both offices by sorting incoming mail and packages and delivering between the two buildings. * Provide support for Accounts Payable Department including check matching and mailing of the weekly check runs and providing back up support for W-9 collection and TIN matching from vendors. Essential Duties (other duties may be assigned): * Provide administrative support to management. * Assist with making meeting and other arrangements for staff. * Prepare and send all outgoing mail and shipments via FedEx including weekly FedEx to properties. * File material according to established procedures. * Coordinate signatures on banking, SEC and other documents. * Field general phone calls and emails * Coordinate and order food for staff meetings as requested. * The core of American Campus culture involves everyone being fully invested in everything that we do down to picking up the smallest piece of trash.
