Accounting And Finance Supervisor

We are seeking a highly qualified accounting professional to provide expert oversight and management of the accounting processes of the company, with strong analytical skills.
Overview:

• Supervises and coordinates activities related to the accounting and finance department to ensure smooth operations and achievement of departmental goals.
• Schedules and delegates tasks within the Accounting Department.
• Ensures that accounting closures are carried out accurately and concisely on established dates.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and seven (7) years of experience in accounting, including experience in staff supervision and human capital development.
• Knowledge of the Sungard accounting system is preferable.
• Ability to define problems, gather information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Leadership skills, proactivity, and empowerment in work situations.
• Ability to analyze information, evaluate cases, and make sound decisions.
• Capability to handle high volumes of work and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while setting priorities.
• Bilingual: English and Spanish (spoken and written)

• Assists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and priorities related to the company's accounting processes.
• Oversees the full accounting cycle (GAAP). This includes reviewing account reconciliations and approving journal entries.
• Strong knowledge in annual financial statements. 
• Knowledge of statutory accounting for insurance companies.
• Supervises and participates in the preparation of all financial statements and accounting reports, including the preparation of annual and quarterly statements, as well as reports required by the regulator.
