Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), of the Security Analysis Unit (SAU) of the Accounting Bureau, the Accounting Analyst (AA) will perform professional accounting and analytical duties related to the maintenance and management of securities and cash remitted to the State Controller's Office (SCO), Unclaimed Property Division (UPD). The incumbent will apply analytical procedures to review, reconcile, maintain, and manage the SCO securities portfolio. The incumbent will be responsible for working with internal and external resources to resolve securities related issues pursuant to the Unclaimed Property Law and Regulations.

Working Conditions

Please Note: This position will be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on the State Controller's Office's current telework policy. While the State Controller's Office supports telework, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.
