JOB SUMMARY: The Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of financial and non-financial processes that impact the general ledger and management reporting process.
This position assists in developing and recommending improvements related to a broad range of accounting support team projects in addition to performing monthly closing process duties, preparing and validating various financial reports, ensuring the integrity of reported information. This position supports one or more businesses in one of the following functional areas such as Property Accounting (lease accounting, fixed asset accounting, etc.), Merchandise Accounting (Inventory accounting and physical inventory, etc.); Support Accounting (Credit Accounting, Marketing Accounting, IBO/Import Accounting, Banking, One Card, Pharmacy, etc.); Business Accounting (Specialty, Services, Retail, Licensed business, etc.), and AP/AR (vendor payments, AP Control, escheats, vendor allowances, audit recovery, etc).
