Diamond Communications LLC (“Diamond”) is a preeminent private wireless infrastructure company headquartered in Springfield, NJ. We are actively seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess accounting expertise and exemplary interpersonal skills with a desire to be a significant contributor from day one. We are a very lean and entrepreneurial team that prides itself on operating in a flat structure. This position will focus on organizing, processing, and managing indirect taxes including sales/use tax, personal property tax, and real estate tax. Additionally, the analyst role will include accounting functions such as monthly financial processes, landlord payments, posting tenant invoices, and bank reconciliations.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Indirect Tax Management:

• Maintain tax records and prepare tax bills, payments and reports.
• Track monthly, quarterly, and annual tax bills.
• Liaise with our third-party tax compliance firm and registered agent.
• Analyze and reconcile GL accounts and prepare tax adjustment entries.

2. Monthly Financial Processes

• Prepare journal entries and accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Maintain general ledger accounts reconciliations.

• Assist with the monthly closing process by ensuring that journal entries are posted, and general ledger accounts are reconciled, ensuring adherence to the established timelines.

3. Bank Reconciliations

• Reconcile monthly bank statements to the general ledger cash accounts.

• Assist with the monthly closing process by identifying bank reconciliation discrepancies swiftly so that they can be rectified to ensure adherence to the established timelines.

4. Landlord Payments

• Generate monthly payments to our landlords.

• Respond to inquiries relating to the payments made to the landlords.

5. Monthly Rent Invoices

• Post monthly tenant and recurring invoices

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting

Requirements

Ideal Skills:

1. Professional Experience:

• Up to three years of work experience with a strong background in and understanding of GAAP accounting and indirect taxes. However, significant prior experience is not required.
• Any relevant experience in real estate and/or telecommunications is a plus.

2. Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.

3. Analytical Proficiency:

• Demonstrated analytical ability and keen attention to detail.

4. Organizational Acumen:

• Excellent organizational skills with the consistent ability to meet reporting deadlines.

5. Communication and Leadership:

• Effective communication skills and the ability to lead and contribute to a team.
• Proven experience in successfully managing and developing direct reports.

6. Technological Aptitude:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Great Plains is a plus.

7. Commitment to Hybrid Working Environment:

• Must be able to commute to Springfield, NJ, four days a week.
