The Analyst I, Alliance and Revenue Accounting will support the alliance and revenue accounting teams throughout the financial close process by preparing / performing analysis, recording entries and preparing reconciliations. This role will also support royalty partner inquiries / deliverables, various audits and other ad-hoc tasks for these teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and perform analyses to support the alliance and revenue accounting teams. Identify trends, share insights and drive improvement / efficiency to the close process
Analyze actual results against forecast / prior periods to understand performance and effectively communicate results with internal / external business partners
Frequent communication with external business partners in relation to respective products. Facilitate third party reviews as requested by business partners.
Document / update accounting procedures to facilitate training and promote consistent execution across the team.
Participation in financial close process for partner products including but not limited to journal entries, reconciliations, account variance analysis, and other ad-hoc analysis for sales reserves (rates, wholesaler inventory, returns, in transit shipments, Medicaid).
Cross functional training with revenue accounting / finance teams
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures documenting critical business processes.
Follow Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned or as business needs require.
Bachelor of Science Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred.
Individual will be required to travel to the North Wales, PA office for a certain limited period of time for training and transition through Q1 2020 roughly 50-60% of time.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
2+ years accounting or auditing experience required.
Excellent PC skills required, notably Excel.
Advanced Excel skills preferred.
Must demonstrate analytical, problem solving and process focused skills.
Must have attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
Experience with Oracle and SAP desired.
