Southern Veterinary Partners (SVP) is a regional network of animal hospitals with the common goal of providing the highest quality veterinary care to companion animals. SVP currently owns over 95 locations in the Southeast and is growing rapidly at an average of acquiring two new locations per month. A leading private equity team sponsors SVP.

SVP requires an Accounting Administrator to join our rapidly growing team in Birmingham, AL. This role will own several tasks, including managing expense and travel systems, administrative office tasks, and AP Data entry.

This role will also be an integral part of the finance and accounting team and the opportunity to work on other ad hoc projects as part of a growing


  • Diligently provide data entry support for AP and other parts of the business
  • Prepare & facilitate information between several locations and to management as required
  • Maintain thoroughly organized records
  • Handling office tasks, such as stamping received invoices, sorting, filing, mailing checks
  • Manage expense report review & set up individuals in SVPs expense reimbursement system, Concur
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of various business documents including but not limited to business licenses, property taxes, 1099 forms etc.
  • Manage Travel Programs and Administration
  • Provide support to our location managers
  • Be able to communicate confidently with external parties e.g., vendors & customers


  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or similar preferred
  • Proficient at working in accounting software
  • Outstanding presentation, organizational, and communication skills
