POSITION SUMMARY

Act as support within the fast paced, mutli-faceted Accounting Department. Provide support and assistance where needed and prioritize workload to meet deadlines on a daily basis.

  • Receive, record, and bank cash, checks, and credit card payments.

  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts.

  • Perform general office duties such as sorting and delivering incoming mail, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence.

  • Prepare bank deposits by compiling data, verifying and balancing receipts, and sending cash, checks, or other forms of payment to bank.

  • Calculate and prepare checks for permits, taxes, and other payments.

  • Maintain inventory records including all forms and office supplies. Also to include price book updates, putting books together and distributing appropriately.

  • Log Daily Invoices and update GPS.

  • Back up the Billing Department and assist with invoicing.

  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Experience: 6 plus months of experience in an office environment

Accounting Experience is a plus

Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office - strong knowledge of Excel

Job Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS for Legal Services Administrator Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: * Three years experience in preparing and maintaining legal documents and case files. * Three years experience in legal research which includes researching statutes, regulations, case law and background information via computer or library searches. * Three years experience in drafting legal documents which includes presenting facts, setting out and analyzing legal precedents. * Six months experience in conducting investigations which includes conducting interviews to obtain confidential information, gathering evidence, analyzing and interpreting data collected, and documenting findings for trial preparation and response to litigation; and assisting in witness preparation for trial. * Six months experience in developing policies and procedures. * Six months experience in staff supervision which includes planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others. Additional Posting Information Candidates must successfully complete all phases of a thirteen week basic training course. This course is administered by the Department of Correction at the Employee Development Center. Coursework includes physical, classroom and hands-on training. Instruction is provided in the areas of inmate supervision, defensive tactics, riot control, weapons, report writing and emergency medical training. Conditions of Hire Criminal background check: A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire.
