Position Summary:

Lead regional office accounting process of Accounts Receivable invoicing and support Accounts Payable, project accounting and job costing, and assist management with financial analysis and support as needed.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Central Regional Accounting Leadership team

  • Lead Accounts Receivable process in office, including accurate, timely invoicing, proper coding, collections, reducing AR aging days, and navigating the lien notice and lien waiver process

  • Lead project accounting effort including ensuring utilizing software properly to track job costing and utilization data, with a constant focus on margin analysis

  • Support job related AP process in office as needed, including purchasing and credit cards, procurement coding, timely processing of vendor invoices, internal financial controls, and maximizing vendor discounts

  • Familiar with GAAP accrual accounting

  • Work with project managers to ensure they have the data needed to effectively manage their projects

  • Understand the entire company operations process from quote to invoice, including coordination of and recommendations for process improvement.

  • Effective customer management including the ability to review of customer setup, contracts, purchase orders, and master service contracts, and the establishment of credit approvals and limits

  • Review and process Lien waivers/releases

  • Ability to work in multiple systems/spreadsheets to track project costs

Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education):

  • Accounting degree, or combination of education and experience to demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience

  • Knowledge for CCIP, ROCIP, etc. set up for customers.

  • Knowledge of certified payroll/prevailing wages

  • Knowledge of AIA forms and customer progress billings

  • Good to excellent level of working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Outlook, and Power Point

  • Proficient in Excel and data entry skills with excellent typing speed and accuracy

  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders

  • Excellent organizational, detail oriented and time management skills

  • Effectively able to maintain discretion and confidentiality of employee and customer information as appropriate.

  • Ability to multi-task and process multiple activities successfully

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work under deadlines and timeframes effectively with a customer service demeanor.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
