ACCOUNTING ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK

SUMMARY: Compiles and maintains records of business transactions and office activities by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties as assigned.

  • Copies data and compiles records and reports.

  • Posts data in record books.

  • Prepares, issues, and sends out receipts, bills, policies, invoices, statements and checks.

  • Files documents.

  • Operates office machines such as computer, typewriter, adding machine, copier, scanner, postage meter, etc.

  • Operates computer to input and retrieve data.

  • Opens and routes incoming mail, answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail. Greets and assists visitors.

  • Places and receives phone calls to and from others.

  • Prepares orders for office supplies.

  • Will be responsible for understanding and complying with company EMS policies and procedures in the performance of job duties.

  • Reads and understands the company's emergency notification process and will be responsible for reviewing that policy at worksite.

  • Requires confidentiality beyond reproach.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to determine work priorities and work independently.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail are imperative.

  • Associate degree or one to three years equivalent experience preferred.

  • Must be willing to work occasional weekends and evenings when necessary.

ADA Requirements:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions.

  • Ability to see and distinguish colors.

  • Ability to hear.

  • Must be able to read and write.

  • Utilize desktop computer to perform job functions.

  • Utilize telephone for communication with internal and external customers.

  • Sit or stand for long periods.

  • Stoop, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 pounds while moving files.

Educational Requirements: Associate degree or 1-3 years equivalent experience, preferred.

Salary: Hourly rate dependent upon experience and education.

This is a Full-Time position.
