Summary:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements and assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC and other filings

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements.

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC and other filings.

  • Assist with annual audit and quarterly reviews.

  • Assist in research accounting, consolidation and reporting issues.

  • Assist in performing research to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

  • Maintain supporting documentation for financial reporting.

  • Special projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

  • 2+ years of experience in a public accounting firm or with a public accounting company.

  • Knowledge of US GAAP.

  • Solid time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and function independently and efficiently in a fast paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Problem solving with ability to recognize issues and deal with them directly.

  • Personable, positive and enthusiastic attitude with capability to deal effectively with people.

  • Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and written.

  • Excellent organization skills and work habits.

  • Sense of initiative with desire to become truly involved in the business.

  • Flexibility with ability to work in a team setting supporting several people.

  • Microsoft Office applications.

  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.

  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.

VIEW JOBS 4/17/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-16T00:00 Job Requisition JR7581 Worker Time Type Full time Worker Sub-Type Regular Shift Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting is responsible for compiling, preparing, and analyzing various financial information on a monthly, quarterly, annual and as-needed basis, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S. This includes cash flow analysis and account reconciliations as well as ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist with monthly accounting close and financial reporting, including journal entries and reconciliations in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Areas of focus include stock based compensation, business combinations, investment in subsidiaries, and equity reporting. * Support compliance with ASC 606 and ASC 842, including ongoing review of material customer and lease contracts. * Preparation of monthly cash flow statements and supporting schedules. * Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements with footnotes and MD&A. * Preparation of monthly income statement and balance sheet flux analysis. * Assist in coordination of the annual audit as well as preparation of audit schedules. * Assist in technical research and application of new accounting pronouncements. * Preparation of ad-hoc and/or monthly journal entries related to more complex accounts on the balance sheet, such as stock compensation, eliminating entries, purchase accounting, etc. * Assumes other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management. * Adherence to the Code of Business Ethics is essential. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required * CPA or CPA candidate is required * Minimum 3-4 years of overall accounting experience, including Big 4 experience * Minimum 3 years of SEC reporting experience is required * Experience with BPC and Microsoft Dynamics AX is ideal * Intermediate expertise in Excel; comfortable learning new technologies * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Strong analytical skills * Work independently with minimal supervision WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position works in a typical office environment, is generally sedentary, and uses computers, calculators, phones, and other office equipment.
