Current Need

We are seeking a Vendor Incentives Specialist to join our Accounting team in Richmond, VA. The role is a blended analyst and accounting role.

Position Description

This role is responsible for the Flu Incentives Accounting process, including review of contracts with Legal and Category Management, calculation of incentives and any reserves, which will require collaboration with multiple business partners as well as judgment and analysis to determine accurate levels. This role is also responsible for analysis of purchase price variances (PPV), inventory devaluations / revaluations, collaborating with Database Management, Supplier Services, Contract Admin, Chargebacks team, our Shared Services group and our vendors. The role will provide trending analytics and variance commentary for both areas vs Plan & Forecast.

Minimum Requirements
8 years accounting experience

Critical Skills

  • 5 years experience with technical accounting (GAAP and SOX) skills

  • 3 years experience with JD Edwards or similar large accounting package such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.

  • 3 years experience with forecasting and trending analysis

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel skills (macros, pivot tables, v-lookup, etc.)

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Preference for manufacturing or distribution accounting experience

  • Take complex issues through to resolution, including communication

  • High energy with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment preferred

  • Strong SQL skills (ability to create queries to data-mine and do analysis)

  • Project Management skills are helpful

Education
4-year degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience

Certifications/Licensure

CPA or MBA preferred
