Accountant

Title: Accountant Industry: Business and Association Consulting Location: North York /Hybrid Salary:$60,000-$65,000 + benefits About the Role:

Our client, a small Canadian-owned consulting business founded in the 1980s, is a highly respected firm working with a diverse clientele in association management, strategic planning, foundation and charitable oversight, convention and meeting execution, live/virtual events and more. They are looking for a focused, detail-oriented individual with strong administrative and accounting skills to support their team.The Accountant/Senior Administrator will report directly to the CEO, working on a small accounting team of two. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to make a strong impact and work with different organizations across various industries. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide general accounting for multiple client accounts, including full-cycle management, monthly unaudited statements, and year-end financials.
• Liaise with client Treasurers, Financial Committees, and bank staff.
• Perform online banking transactions and oversee international fund transfers.
• Assist in managing investment accounts.
• Support general office administration, including ordering supplies, monitoring contracts, and ensuring office equipment functionality.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years accounting experience
• Experience in the not-for-profit sector
• Familiarity with CRA and Canadian standards
• Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks
• Skilled in online banking and commerce
• Ability to manage multiple accounts
• Post-secondary education in accounting or finance; working towards CPA 
• Excellent spoken and written English
