Job Responsibilities
Tri-County Technical College is seeking a motivated and innovative Accountant to take a leadership role on our Fiscal Affairs team. This position works with the Director of Fiscal Affairs in reviewing and analyzing financial transactions for financial reporting, providing support for monthly and year-end closeouts, assists with the annual budget development process and with the assistance of the Database Administrator, monitors and installs upgrades to the finance module within the College's ERP system. The Sr. Accountant provides oversight and guidance to an accounting team member.
Responsibilities
You will use, develop and maintain tools for tracking, reviewing and reporting operating revenues and expenses.
You will prepare various ad-hoc and management reports and analyses using various tools and techniques to measure the overall financial health of the college and to assist with decision-making and strategic planning.
You will assist the director with development of the annual operating, non-operating and plant fund budgets including training.
You will assist with the monthly/yearly closeout of financial records, external audit and preparation of the College's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).
You will coordinate the implementation and upgrades of ERP software for the finance office.
You will assist with cash and treasury management functions.
You will provide oversight and guidance to the accounts payable administrator.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor's degree with accounting courses and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, banking or finance.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced excel and database query skills, proven experience with finance ERP systems, proficient in general ledger data analysis and reporting and sound financial and business acumen are preferred.
