Accountant Sr

Job Summary:

Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering transactions for the preparation and presentation of consolidated financial information. Works closely with the Plant Controller and other Finance staff on a daily basis. Assists with special projects assigned by Management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee general accounting operations and perform accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and fixed asset management.
• Conduct financial analysis, support bi-monthly forecast and annual budget.
• Coordinates and assists with year-end and preliminary audit work
• Provides oversight and approval of certain Treasury functions
• Interfaces with senior level Management on a periodic basis
• Interfaces with other subsidiary accounting staff as required
• Capably handles several projects simultaneously and works effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
• Performs miscellaneous related duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Qualifications include:

• US GAAP accounting and compliance a must
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Highly detail oriented and organized in work
• Proficiency in all Microsoft products
• Strong SAP skills a plus

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree with Major in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in areas of general accounting and financial statement preparation.
• Manufacturing experience and/or public accounting experience considered a plus
