  • Senior

Work in a challenging and rewarding environment using your accounting skills in this senior role. A global leader in the development and supply of pumping solutions and related equipment needs your experience.

Perform monthly closings in compliance with GAAP and IFRS for US and Canada; prepare annual Federal and Canadian corporate tax questionnaires; function as liaison with the tax department; assist in the consolidation and reporting of financial statements, calculate and accrue Agent commissions.

You will work in a business casual office on site of a heavy industrial environment, where safety is number 1. 7 paid holidays, a flexible starting time, casual dress and more await you in the temporary-to-hire position.


  • Consolidate and report corporate financial statements in monthly and year end close.

  • Review and reconcile GL accounts

  • Prepare monthly journal entries

  • Handle foreign currency reconciliations and record related foreign exchange gains and losses

  • Reconcile inter-company accounts

  • Calculate, accrue and analyze commissions for US and Canadian employees

  • Prepare Federal and Canadian corporation tax questionnaires and coordinate audits for both

  • Prepare and submit internal and external accounting reports, government filings etc.

  • Participate in all audits

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM


  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • 3-5 years related experience

  • Federal income tax knowledge and basic understanding of foreign currency transactions

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access and Outlook. ERP software required; SAP preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communications (verbal and written) and analytical skills. Strong attention to details is a must.


Must be willing to submit to 7 year background check and drug screen, provide two work references and proven accounting competencies.

Responsibilities Responsibilities include: * Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional manner * Prepare client correspondence, letters, e-mail, or other communications pertaining to engagement planning and requests * Perform audit, review, and compilation testing procedures in accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders * Complete engagement programs and checklists and respond to review comments * Communicate with engagement leaders regarding open items, testing problems, or other important matters in a timely manner * Prepare (or review client prepared) financial statements and footnotes, management reports, and other engagement output * Adhere to prescribed budgets and deadlines * Develop technical competency with GAAP, especially related to assigned product line, to include specific areas such as receivables, inventory, costings, etc. Additional Responsibilities: * Provide technical accounting assistance to clients * Participate in core CPE programs * Actively participate in community activities to develop positive relationships with community leaders and members * Actively participate in firm sponsored events for assigned product line clients and prospects * Participate in inventory observations as needed Qualifications Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in accounting * Possess 150 credit hours with intent to pursue CPA * 2+ years experience, public accounting preferred * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to manage multiple tasks within set timeframes * Prior experience or interest working with government clients * Ability to work effectively as part of a team Wipfli is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
