Job Summary:

As an AR Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for accurate invoicing to the customer. This position will also be responsible for processing credit card transactions, customer payment application and supporting general day to day accounting functions.

Job Duties:

• Manage customer invoicing
• Take and apply deposits by credit card or ACH from customers and apply to their account
• Respond to customer and employee inquiries promptly and professionally
• Assist customers and internal departments with service billing questions
• Perform weekly payables cycles to generate checks and electronic payments to vendors
• Apply payments received from customers to their account
• Communicate and escalate issues as appropriate
• Special projects and other accounting related duties as requested
• Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent from two-year or technical school; OR 5 years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Flexible and able to adapt quickly to new methods, processes, and system changes
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Highly organized
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
• Strong customer focus and problem solving skills
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word)

Experience with QuickBooks preferred

Required Qualifications:

• 1-2 years in an accounting/ Finance related role or associate degree with 5+ years in Accounting/ Finance role
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Office and PowerPoint, Pivot table
• Hands on experience with financial reporting, accounts payable, fixed assets, and sales/use tax
• Knowledge of general accounting practices and account reconciliations
• Well informed of current financial subjects and business environments
