The Corporate Accounting Staff

  • Corporate Accruals will be

responsible for the accurate and timely recording of corporate cost

accruals and account reconciliations. Responsible for tracking and

monitoring costs, identifying cost variances, and recording accruals

for corporate departments, including marketing, HR, Tax, Legal,

FP&A, Transaction Svcs, Accounting and Call Center costs.

The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will work with a team

of accounting professionals to support an accurate and efficient close

for Corporate Departments.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Corporate Accounting Staff will complete the following responsibilities:

● Prepare journal entries, accurate account reconciliations and analysis to ensure a timely,

accurate and efficient month-end close process of the general ledger

● Record, track and monitor the company's corporate costs and reconcile accruals to accurately

record and accrue financial transactions

● Responsible for analyzing corporate cost data, identifying cost components, and providing

support to maintain cost trend analysis to help improve cost reporting and ensure proper

corporate cost accruals.

● Complete variance analysis of actual vs budget and forecast results. Summarize cost variance

explanations to help support improved methods in forecasting and cost recognition.

● Complete work to record and reconcile various intercompany transactions and intercompany

account balances between multiple Rentokil affiliates and maintain proper intercompany

reporting. Assist in the completion of the intercompany payment process. Helps coordinate the

process to complete the Group intercompany billing process for the rebilling of company costs

● Work with a team of finance professionals to complete an accurate and efficient close for

corporate cost reporting.

● Responsible for tracking and recording unclaimed property amounts and working with the Tax

team to report customers, payroll and accounts payable unclaimed balances held.

● Assists to record company debt and equity accounting transactions, excluding Group Loans, to

ensure accurate and timely reporting.

● Complete work requested by external and internal audit teams. Work with internal and external

auditors in conjunction with the annual audit to provide accurate and timely information.

Research source data cost information to identify trends or variances to provide further insight

into developing events.

● Partner with FP&A to ensure accurate reporting of results for Corporate Departments

● Communicate any material change to the forecast/budget as soon as known

● Meet regularly with corporate cost teams to review historical and future cost trends.

● Work with FP&A business partners for development of accurate forecast and analysis

● Ensure controls are in compliance with company policy

● Recommend areas of efficiency, automation and acceleration for close process

● Prepare account reconciliations and detailed fluctuation analysis for accounting leadership

● Work closely with team to identify potential process improvements and capabilities to increase

consistency, transparency, and reliability of Rentokil-Terminix's reporting process

● Ensure the security and integrity of Rentokil-Terminix's financial information

● Perform all other duties as assigned

Required Experience

●1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance fields

● Experience with multi-unit organization

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

● Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field or equivalent relevant experience -

Required
