Guy Carpenter is seeking candidates to join our Finance team as an Accountant based in Milan.

The Team is responsible for the preparation and management of all monthly and annual financial reporting and the Technical Accounting operations for Italy.

We will count on you to:

• Assist in day to day accounting functions and processes as well as reporting of financial information

• Prepare journal entries, money moves, payments request, administrative system accounting reports

• Working closely with Accounting Operations to ensure accuracy of the general ledger accounts and financial records.

• Prepare and analyze various accounting reports for tax, regulatory and statutory

• Responsible in managing banking relationships including bank system reporting, account balances, corporate guarantees

• Assist Group Treasury in implementing standard processes and tools

• Ensure compliance with the Company's treasury policies and internal control framework

• Preparation and monitor the monthly bank reconciliations.

• Responsible for assessing and managing efficiently the liquidity position of the company

• Ensure accurate and complete account maintenance including authorized signatories and approvers, opening and closing accounts, and adding services

• Monitor excess cash in the cash pooling account

• Preparation on ad hoc cash flow analysis

• Facility management / Office administration (fleet, Facilities, office supplies)

• Technical Accounting

What you need to have:

• Degree in Finance, Economics or similar area

• A minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in a international environment

• Experience in an insurance Broker will be considered a plus

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with different stakeholders.

• Able to work independently and within a cross-functional team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced environment

• proficiency in both English and Italian.
