The Thomson Division is a major contributor to the Segment, with approximately 1,500 global associates and $400M in revenue. There are 10 main sites located across the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, & Europe.

Reporting to the Shared Services Accounting Manager, this position is part of the Shared Services network of support associates. Responsible for financial close, financial compliance including SOX, analytical review of global manufacturing sites, and other ad hoc assignments. This position is located in Marengo, IL and is part of the Linear Motion (Thomson) Division within Regal Rexnord Corporation (the parent company).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage shared services ledger and balance sheet.Responsibilities include monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.

  • Partner with multiple site controllers to post standard recurring entries, maintain/update quarterly templates and statistics, and otherwise assist in the month-end close process where applicable.

  • Facilitate the intercompany process, both within Linear Motion as well as between the Division and Corporate.Allocate shared expenses to sites and provide intercompany balancing support as necessary.

  • Support annual physical inventory counts and cycle count reporting and analysis.

  • Assist with compliance processes for Linear Motion/Regal Rexnord (the parent company)

  • Maintain adequacy of internal control structure to ensure Sarbanes Oxley compliance.

  • Ad-hoc analysis as required for capital asset acquisitions, working capital reviews, etc.

  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Other duties as assigned by finance leadership.

This role can work mainly remote but need to be available to come to Marengo, IL plant as need and during physical inventory.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Strong manufacturing/managerial accounting skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

  • Experience with Sox compliance testing and auditing.

  • Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to interact with employees at various levels and skill sets.

  • Ability to collaborate among decentralized teams.

  • Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects and/or requests concurrently.

  • Bachelor's degree in either accounting or finance preferred.

  • 3+ years of accounting experience required, preferably in a Manufacturing costing environment.

  • Experience with a ERP system; Oracle preferred

  • Experience with a finance reporting system - HFM preferred.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel is required
