This individual will participate in meetings with Finance teams and Business Unit teams throughout the organization to develop a solid understanding of changes in the business that will impact the financial statements, and will work closely with the organization's Payroll, Human Resource, and Compensation teams. The individual will be responsible for interpreting Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP) pronouncements and Applying company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
The Accountant job duties:
Prepares general ledger account reconciliations and account balance fluctuation analysis
Prepares standard and specialized financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) according to GAAP
Assists in the preparation of external and internal reporting documents which include but not limited to monthly project review process, quarterly impairment, monthly release tracking, capitalization of salaries
Ensure smooth operations of project accounting process with internally developed software
Accounting for G&A type costs
Ideal Candidate will have the following:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required.
2 to 3 years experience
Intermediate knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Intermediate knowledge of Excel
Strong time management, communications, presentation, and organizational skills.
Ability to identify and resolve general problems.
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
Ability to adapt and learn and apply professional concepts.
Ability to interact with internal and external peers.
