JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
This Plant Accountant is a full‐time position in our Allentown, PA manufacturing facility. In this position, you will primarily support the Regional Controller and regional operations team in achieving goals and initiatives. You will also be involved with the month-end closing process and develop a good base of practical accounting knowledge. Responsibilities include:
Month-end closing – prepare general ledger account reconciliations, P&L reviews, bank reconciliations, A/P Review, Inventory Review, and other tasks required to close the accounting periods timely
Assist in the timely completion of the quarter-end and year-end financial close in accordance with process requirements
Review, maintain, and perform audits of fixed asset register
Prepare new and maintain existing customerslease agreements, ensure all accounts hold adequate insurance as necessary for each piece of equipment
Review & maintain price lists and other helpful information to our store and sales teams
Refine process for tracking labor & parts for bulk tank fleet repairs, ensure process is consistent and traceable, communicate changes as necessary to teams
Routine/Daily review of Netsuite transaction accuracy
Ensure accurate account coding for consistent Income Statement and balance Sheet
Provide support to Storefront, CSRs, Sales & Production personnel
Cash management-reconcile cash activity daily
Review and maintain BOM, make adjustments, investigate discrepancies
Maintain a customer service mindset and attitude to help our customers and teams, be a valued business partner with all functions of the business, and provide accurate and timely data to help make good business decisions
Coordinate and participate in physical inventory counts, investigate and resolve count issues each period; Control the overall assets of the plant related to inventory, fixed assets, spending controls, and cost reductions
Work with production staff to complete production reporting and update NetSuite accordingly on a daily basis
Implement process improvements
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping
Collaborative, team oriented, job may include more duties that what is listed
REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management
Proficient in Microsoft office, experience with NetSuite or Oracle preferred
Must have strong working knowledge of Excel
3 years of Accounting experience with a minimum of 1 year of verifiable cost accounting experience
Excellent organizational skills, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills
Work cooperatively, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of cooperation & trust
Demonstrate an understanding of broad team goals and works effectively with others to achieve goals
Frequent requirement for attention to detail; prolonged use of a computer terminal and other electronic equipment
Strong leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written

Confident, positive, and trustworthy with the highest degree of integrity

Prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Some local travel required- up to 10% of month during peak season
Able to work a few Saturday mornings during the peak season & for a physical inventory count when necessary
