Accountant (Part-Time)

We are looking for an ambitious Accountant to provide support to the finance team by managing daily accounting tasks and participating in the month end close process. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in GAAP accounting principles, able to work comfortably with numbers and has strong attention to detail.

What you will be doing:

• Ensure proper GAAP revenue accounting including: 
• Track all revenue streams and ensure proper recognition
• Monthly reconciliation of revenue & COGS
• Review weekly payment reporting from the bank and post payments into accounting system
• Prepare purchase orders as needed
• Company Corporate Card Administrator, including issuance and tracking of p-card users
• Monthly accounting entries related to credit card transactions and reconciliation
• Daily/weekly bank account reconciliations
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
• Support month-end close process, prepare journal entries and general ledger reconciliations 
• Assist in the day to day, monthly and annual operations of the accounting & finance team

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in an accountant role; eCommerce experience preferred but not required
• Proficient in Xero & MS Office Suite – intermediate excel skills
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and accounting best practices
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and communicate with management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
