MidwayUSA has a need for an Accountant who will be responsible for full cycle financial reporting for entities including general ledger systems and reporting in highly automated environment; payables, receivables, payroll, cash management, capital asset detail systems and reporting; journal entry compilation, general ledger account reconciliation and analysis; auditing; and reporting for ISO, audit, various taxes, insurance and banking.

Sample of Specific Duties:

  • Financial Reporting Management Process: Compile and analyze financial information creating journal entries in all financial areas; compile financial reports for management review; compile various reconciliations and/or account analyses for financial, audit, tax, etc.

  • Accounts Payable Management: Investigate and reconcile Receipt Variances with Suppliers; Conduct Supplier invoice cycle count transaction audit process; Process Non-Inventory payables; Track and trend root cause of discrepancies; Maintain current Supplier/Partner information in financial reporting system

  • Payroll Review and Processes: Examine hours and time off requests for accuracy, timeliness, etc.; Review and maintain employee files in 3rd party system according to Company and Employee policies, government regulations, etc.; Review bi-weekly payroll reports and exceptions

  • Loss Prevention Processes as assigned

  • Cash Management Processes as assigned

Ideal Candidate:

  • B.S. in Accounting, Finance or Business

  • 2-4 years experience in highly automated accounting function a plus

  • Demonstrated proficiency in attention to detail

  • This is a Full-time position; M-F; 8am-5pm

Summary Support the production facilities and the overflow inventory warehouse in Columbia by accounting for all inventory transactions and other tasks as requested by Finance and Operations management. Responsibilities will also include analysis of the bills of material and cost accounting. The position requires a good understanding of accounting and the individual must work effectively within a team environment to provide information and services to many other plant and corporate departments (QA, process engineering, etc). To be successful in this role, the candidate needs to have the following: 1. General accounting knowledge and ability to learn the manufacturing accounting and operational processes 2. Ability to account for inventory at multiple locations 3. Be a team player, and get things accomplished even if not a defined finance role 4. Ability to work with cross-functional teams 5. Ability to multi-task 6. Make recommendations for process improvement changes, scrap reductions, and general suggestions 7. Accomplish tasks without written policies, procedures or checklists Responsibilities * Account for and monitor inventory levels at multiple locations * Update inventory transactions in the Beyond Meat software, Net Suite * Obtain production, receiving and other paperwork from various personnel so that the inventory transactions can be recorded * Assist with the counts of inventory to confirm that the amounts in Net Suite agree with the amounts on the floor, and adjust for any differences * Confirm inventory balances with co-packing and warehouse locations * Own and maintain the COMO plant production report; support production reporting for two manufacturing facilities across three shifts. * Provide financial reports on a timely basis, including inventory reports and cycle count results * Provide analytical support to report operational results in a manner which meets management's need to make timely decisions * Identify and implement process improvements * Review and adjust BOMs as necessary * Support cost reduction projects to meet annual savings target. * Written and verbal communications with plant personnel, co-packers, warehouses, and management at the corporate headquarters * Various other responsibilities as necessary to support the business * Knowledge/Skills * Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and corporate financial policies * Ability to learn cost and managerial accounting * Ability to plan and organize * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Good communication and team leadership skills, ability to work with and/or supervise a variety of people. * Strong computer skills (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint) * NetSuite experience is a plus Education/Certification * College level Accounting and Business courses are required Experience * Entry level candidates are eligible Beyond Meat is an equal employment opportunity employer.
