Isn’t it time you were a part of something great?JOB SUMMARY MTG provides technology installation and support services to commercial businesses on both a local and national level. This position contributes to Master Technology Group’s growth and success by contributing to cash flow management, accurate financial reporting and mitigation of risk.The Accountant is responsible for overseeing Accounts Receivable, Sales Tax, and Legal/Compliance assistance. The position will interface with operations in developing processes and using software and technology systems relating to accounting and workflow. Responsibilities also include fostering collaboration between Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.The position is a full-time role, and working hours are generally Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. The Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurate, efficient and effective performance of accounts receivable functions which includes but is not limited to:
Establish and maintain professional business relations with clients and partners
Validate inventory transactions for accuracy before invoicing
Assist with month-end processes
Cash application of bank deposits
Requesting COI’s from carrier
Renewing licenses for sales tax, state licenses, bonds, etc.
Assist in the facilitation of completing contracts and other required documents
Ensure that accounting functions are completed in accordance with established procedures and applicable regulations
Effectively research, track, and resolve (or properly refer) accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
Work closely with management and stakeholders of multiple groups to become familiar with and meet MTG process, performance and communication expectations
Participate in the creation of and the use of workflow processes to maximize efficiency
Work closely with Company leaders to meet business objectives and push continuous improvement
Maintain confidentiality relating to source documents, data, and reports
Maintain data integrity of company software systems
Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of experience and training
3+ years of related accounting and legal experience preferred
Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, procedures, and financial reports
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with accounting and business software applications
Well-organized, accurate, and attentive to detail
Strong time management, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Computer proficiency in a Windows environment using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), accounting software, and other common programs
Strong written and oral communication skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills
