Essential Functions

  • Responsible for managing & processing all daily and monthly activities associated with the marketing and export sectors of NGLs & Refined Products.

  • Responsible for monthly close, margin tie out and variance analysis

  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy of intercompany & affiliate company transactions

  • Management, review & monthly reconciliation of all attendant general ledger accounts

  • Maintain SOX internal control processes

  • Assist with quarterly and annual audit process

  • Generate monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal and external users

  • Assist with quarterly FERC filings

  • Provide support & backing for the transportation & storage sectors as needed.

  • Ad hoc requests by internal management

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

  • 1-3 years of experience can include public accounting experience within the energy sector

  • Solid time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and function independently and efficiently

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Problem solving with ability to recognize issues and deal with them directly

  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written

  • Excellent organization skills and work habits

  • Able to work comfortably in fast paced, unpredictable environment

  • Comfortable working in a team environment, including interaction with measurement, scheduling, commercial, contract administration and marketing departments

  • Experience with SAP and Entero application systems preferred

  • Strong Excel skills required
