Linxx Global Solutions (Linxx) is currently seeking an accountant to join our team. The position is located in Virginia Beach, VA

Reporting to the Accounting Manager oversees general accounting, monthly close process, account reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable/collection for the government contracting entity, Linxx Global Solutions. Ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all related accounting and financial reporting functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with various daily general accounting operations including the maintenance of controls and guidelines in accordance with government contracts and medical industry standards
Provide support to the Accounting Manager in the management of general ledger
Monitor financial systems and procedures, resolving problems and developing enhanced reporting
Implement group and corporate policies as directed by the Accounting Manager
Oversee and review the reconciliation of GL accounts for month-end close
Provide support to the Accounting Manager for the preparation and review of corporate stand-alone and consolidated financial statements and forecasts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Assists with the year-end prep review/audit including resolution of reviewer/auditor inquiries and the compilation of required records, schedules and information requests
Respond to requests from internal and external parties for various financial information and analysis to include the development of the monthly loan base report for the bank, completion of monthly/annual tax forms and licensing documents required for state/city and assist with the resolution of problems as required
Provide support to the Accounting Manager in process improvement initiatives
Assist in preparing for audits. Provide information as requested.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
One or more years' accounting experience
Must be PC literate and proficient in the use of all Microsoft products
Familiarity with government contracts or medical industry a plus

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Required BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent.
One or more years' experience
