Key Duties/Responsibilities

Position Title: Accountant II-Sr.

Location: Houston, TX

Specific Responsibilities:

The Accountant II-Sr., for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache's Midstream Accounting team at the company's Houston, office reporting to the Midstream Accounting Manager.

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

  • Managing the operations expense monthly accruals, booking and analysis of month-to-month comparisons and current to outlook comparisons;

  • Handling Capital Expense monthly accruals, booking and analysis of month-to-month and year-to-year comparisons;

  • Presenting monthly report to upper management;

  • Partnering with field personnel to understand upcoming changes in operations, expenses and business trends;

  • Assisting the financial reporting team in quarterly reporting information; and

  • Assist with special projects and reports as needed.

Job Qualifications

Professional Qualifications & Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • 4-6 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry;

  • An Accounting degree with a minimum of 12 completed accounting hours;

  • Midstream experience is a plus;

  • Knowledge and experience with SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;

  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, management, administrative, organizational, and leadership skills; and

  • Experience implementing sound decisions when faced with multi-faceted problems.
