Job Description:
As a key member of the Corporate Accounting team, the Accountant II or Senior Accountant will be responsible for executing key monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close and reporting responsibilities, including the preparation of various journal entries and reconciliations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential for success in this position, as are excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The position will require the individual to frequently work independently and will require competence and confidence in interacting with others within the organization. Areas to be developed in this function include accounting knowledge, analytical skills, organizational skills, project management skills, research skills, and written and oral communication skills. Job level will be determined based on skills and experience.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Conduct business with the highest ethical standards
Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close and reporting responsibilities
Prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries related to Leases, Cash, Debt and G&A
Perform the reconciliation and analysis of various accounts related to the accounting areas listed above
Work collaboratively with the Corporate Accounting team by communicating effectively, completing tasks assigned in the timeframe provided, and being flexible to assist with other tasks or issues
Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders across the Company
Assist the internal / external auditors in their review and audit procedures
Assist with the research and implementation of technical guidance related to leases, equity, debt, stock compensation, and derivatives
Identify areas for increasing efficiency and effectiveness; implement and document those changes while maintaining effective internal controls and accurate financial information
Maintains and fosters a high level of vigilance and awareness for cyber security risks
Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience with or ability to learn various types of software used for Corporate Accounting processes or to support other processes, including SAP, BlackLine, Lease Accelerator, AEGIS, Workiva, and E*Trade
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
WORK SCHEDULE: Denver - Hybrid with ability to commute to the Denver office on short notice and as needed to support business requirements; this role should expect 2-3+ days in office on average per month.
SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $100,000
