Position Summary
Follow established rules and procedures; performs accounting duties such as establishing and maintaining accounting records, preparing and reviewing trial balances, preparing statements and reports, making adjusting entries, and overseeing the accounting functions that include the classification and distribution of income and expenditures for subsequent posting to ledgers. Incumbents, in the course of their work are responsible for identifying and reporting accounting process and system issues and contribute to the analysis and testing of system modifications and improvements.

Accounting / Financial Duties
Perform and plan general accounting, reporting, and budgeting for assigned accounts
Treasury duties
Prepare and complete audit documentation
Develop and maintain dashboard reporting in partnership with Instructional Research (IR) Information Technology (IT)
Serves as the subject matter expert for the College ERP accounting modules
Other Duties as Assigned
Participates in the development and installation of accounting and fiscal procedures
Posting approved documents on appropriate webpages
Creation and submission of PO's, JE's, and BA's

Minimum Qualifications
Only degrees received from an accredited institution will be accepted: accreditation must be recognized by the office of degree authorization, US Department of Education, as required by ORS 348.609. Final candidate will be required to provide official transcripts for required degree.

This is a Full-time Classified, 40 hour per week (100%) position in the Business Office. Starting compensation is entry level for Group 8 on the 2023-24 Classified Salary Schedule.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness
Rogue Community College is considered a qualifying public employer for the purposes of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, full-time employees working at the College may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance on Direct Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan.
