Accountant II

A large, reputable privately owned City Services company has an immediate need for an Accountant II at their Sun Valley office location (5 days a week, in office). Generous comp and stellar benefits package - $80,000+ total comp + bonus structure.

The Senior Accountant (Accountant II) applies complex principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. They will oversee the implementation of accounting controls. Must have at least 4 years of Accountant experience with a minimum 2+ years in a mid to senior level accountant role preferred. Must have experience with the full Accounting Close process and Financial Statement Preparation.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:

• Minimum 5 Years of Accountant experience
• Minimum 3 years+ mid-level Accountant experience with full Accounting Close process and Financial Statement preparation preferred
• Experience working in mid-large size corporations
• Experienced in managing complex accounting and variance analysis
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and training lower-level Accountants/Accounting Staff members
• Demonstrated experience in leading projects and teams
• Intermediate level user of Excel must be proficient with pivots, lookups, data management
• General Ledger, journal entries, calculating & posting accruals
• Fixed Assets, AP/AR, Purchasing & Procurement
• Strong time management skills
• Strong communication & presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills

Prepares highly complex journal entries for entry into the general ledger system on a monthly basis by collecting necessary data, analyzing and/or allocating costs and preparing audit train support for the journal entries.
