Job Responsibilities

In this position you will perform the following duties:

  • Completing payroll accounting functions and administrative tasks.

  • Managing the timekeeping programs in coordination with the Training Center Payroll Supervisor.

  • Managing the outstanding and replacement check process.

  • Training all new Job Readiness Training staff, including Fiscal Specialists, on all functions of timekeeping and stipend payroll processing.

  • Managing the outstanding checks reporting to Unclaimed Property.

  • Performing all other duties as directed by the Training Center Payroll Supervisor and the Job Readiness Training Department Supervisor.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

  • A high school diploma and entry-level experience in payroll processing, accounting or bookkeeping. A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for required work experience.

If invited to interview, please obtain your Official 10 year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles to bring with you. Official transcripts will be required to verify college degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A strong background in payroll functions and processing is preferred.
