  • Associate Degree


SKILLS: Six years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping or an Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance or related field with no experience.

Competencies and skills:


  • SKILL-Ability to effectively interact with customers to understand their needs and explain data
  • SKILL-Microsoft Office
  • SKILL-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person and via telephone with members, employer groups, brokers, physicians, and physician office staff using strong dialogue and customer service competencies.
  • SKILL-Written communication


Performs general accounting related activities to support the Finance Department. Responsibilities include tasks related to banking and cash process, month end closing, ASO Funding and external reporting.

Guides management on financial-related matters and decisions. Manages daily financial inquiries. Job Responsibilities: * Oversees cash flow management, including operating budgets, accounts payable, and bank account balances. * Oversees and manages the book keeping for the company, ensuring the accuracy of accounting through proper and prompt recording of transactions, reconciliation of accounts and monthly closings. * Correctly understands and uses accounting terminology and concepts. * Computes, records, files and pays GRT liability. * Oversees and monitors tax liabilities, including payroll taxes. * Liaison with CPA firm. * Communicates and works with leadership team to provide financial literacy training, prepare operating budgets, and monitor expenses. * Utilizes Quickbooks accounting software and POS software (SpaBiz) to record, store, analyze and reconcile financial information. * Compiles statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses. * Partners with team leaders and administration to maintain a strong understanding of the key business drivers of the salons and future strategic direction of the company. * Provides financial management support to all levels of the business team. * Performs periodic analyses of variances as compared to plan, forecast and prior periods. * Identifies opportunities to improve processes and practices. * Analyzes, understands, and recommends ratios and standards of performance like productivity, client retention, and cost of goods, labor, inventory, and balance sheet ratios. Job Requirements: * Bachelors degree and at least 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance or High School Diploma/GED or Associate's degree and at least 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance. * Experience with financial analysis, financial modeling, profitability analysis, and/or auditing techniques. * Has a strong understanding accounting terminology and concepts. * Experience working as the financial liaison on a business team. * Experience in participating in strategic planning. * Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates. * Ability to work in a team, to cooperate with others, and to take and give constructive feed-back * Good communication skills * Ability to craft standard business correspondence * Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (spreadsheet preparation). * Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (word processing, text formatting). * At least 1 year of experience of direct leadership and/or cross functional team leadership. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position.
