  • Friday, 8:00 am

  • 5:00 pm (plus overtime as scheduled)

Job Summary:
The accountant position will work closely with other accounting

and operations personnel and handle day to day bookkeeping. Will

document financial transactions by entering account information, and maintain

financial security by following internal controls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting

activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts,

coordination and completion of annual audits, and review financial

reports/support as necessary.

  • Analyze and report on financial status including

income statement variances, communicating financial results to management,

budget preparation and analysis.

  • Prepare and analyze financial records and

reports.

  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate

corrective actions.

  • Maintain proficiency in all aspects of the

accounting department.

  • Work and communicate with other departments to

ensure steady workflow.

  • Participate in training and cross-training

procedures to ensure thorough and standardized procedures.

  • Assist with GL account analysis and more

critical & confidential aspects of accounting.

  • Communicate complex quantitative data to

decision makers in a thorough and professional manner.

  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.

  • Perform job consistently within established

performance standards.

  • Is punctual, observes prescribed work break/meal

periods and has an acceptable overall attendance record.

  • Other duties as assigned or dictated by the

needs of the business.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or

finance, or equivalent years of experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of US GAAP.

  • Proficient with computers and basic accounting

software packages.

  • Prompt, honest, detail-oriented,

professional and analytical, with excellent presentation skills.

  • Ability to respond confidently to

questions from management personnel and employees.

  • Excellent problem solving and

communication skills.

  • Responsible with a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to apply common sense

understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving

variables in standard situations.

The Assistant Chef is responsible for assisting the Chef with dining services for our residents at an Enlivant community.
