What You Will Do
Coordinate and own all assigned weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting tasks.
Actively participate in the month-end close process, generate and review journal entries and preparation of monthly financial reports and reconciliations in accordance with policies.
Support the SOX 404 control framework for US and CAN subsidiaries to ensure controls are implemented to safeguard financial integrity and are updated as the business evolves.
Partner with Supply Chain team on annual physical inventory counts
Support periodic standard cost rolls and reconcile all 3rd Party logistics inventory to Digi NS balance sheet
Collaborate with HR Manager to post bi-weekly payroll entries and track any open reconciliation items.
Prepare 3rd party commissions and submit requests for payments.
Calculate CAN Sales Tax and submit to local CAN jurisdiction.
Assist Assistant Controller with or lead special projects as needed
Who You Are and What You Bring
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in accounting or business administration, or 3-4 years of equivalent work experience
Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel and Word) required
Strong attention to detail, verbal, written, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
Strong initiative to search for and implement process improvements and efficiencies
High attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with other departments throughout the company
This position works closely with external suppliers and all internal levels of the organization.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Strong customer service skills
