Accounting Clerk Be able to read, write, and speak English. Written communication, both formal and informal, must be professional, accurate, and free of spelling or grammatical errors.

Verbal communication must demonstrate professional etiquette and relay accurate information. Demonstrate proficiency in using technology, specifically the following software: Microsoft Windows Microsoft Word for Windows Microsoft Excel for Windows Google Mail Internal applications (upon training) Quickbooks Contract management.

Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts.

Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements. Provide internal and external auditing services for businesses and individuals. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements. Follow-up on the A/R with the vendors Coordinate with field staff weekly to collect time sheets and preparing the payroll Coordinate/resolve any HR and Benefits related issues Track employee vacation & sick times and document Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential. Collect timesheets from field staff, review for accuracy, track vacation/sick etc.

Receive all bills and vendor invoices, Date stamp and review for accuracy, compare against Client invoices Receive 1099 staff invoices, review/compare for accuracy Review A/R balances (weekly), follow thru with payments Bookkeeping (filing, cleaning, indexing and others) Import all employees time in to QB from time tracking system. Prepare payroll data and deposit pay checks as necessary Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports Accountant Skills and Qualifications: Accounting, Corporate Finance, Reporting Skills, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Time Management, Data Entry Management, General Math Skills and Quick Books.
