Manage the local statutory audits, compilations and other filings of foreign entities
Assist with subsidiary transfer pricing and intercompany cash transfers
Perform analysis of monthly and quarterly exchange gains/losses and assist in monthly hedge accounting activities
Own royalty expense reporting process including monthly accruals and coordinating vendor payments
Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations through Blackline for various accounting processes
Assist with SAP and other ad-hoc integration projects
BACKGROUND PROFILE: Financial Reporting Accountant
4-year degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience
2-5 years of relevant accounting experience
Experience with Tier 1 ERP systems, SAP experience preferred
Experience with reconciliation tool, Blackline preferred
Consolidation experience preferred
Proficient with MS Office tools
Excellent written and oral communication skills
High attention to detail

The position works under direct supervision and gathers and distributes information. The Project Accountant must be a team player and have strong organizational and accounting skills. What You'll Do: MONTHLY REQUISITIONING To accurately process a Monthly Requisition, a Project Accountant is responsible for verifying and validating the following documentation that will be provided by the project management staff: Site Documentation * Subcontractor commitment/change orders, properly executed (approval letter which generates sub-contract, etc.) * Subcontractor invoice / Estimate for Payment (EFP) accurately completed and approved, as required. * All general condition invoices must be approved, coded and scanned for the Project Accountant to input into JD Edwards accounts payable on a weekly basis. * All the above documentation must be compiled and entered into JD Edwards by a set cutoff date each month for timely compilation and submission to client for reimbursement. Accountants Responsibility * Accountant will review data on the Subcontractors Estimate For Payment (EFP) against the Subcontract Status Report, Subcontractors AIA and ACR. Project Accountant will confirm changes and resolve questions with Project Manager. Issues will be brought to the attention of the Director of Project Accounting and Account Manager. * Review JD Edwards Contract Billing Proof Report. Apply proper procedure for type of contract (Cost Plus, GMP, T&M, Lump Sum, etc). * Modify the billing proof Invoice for errors and omissions. * Make required journal entries (i.e. General Liabilities Insurance, applied costs, etc). * Request copies of missing backup documentation for client bill (timesheets, EFP's, invoices, etc). Make additional copies of completed requisition as required and distribute. * Produce client invoice including: AIA Document (Excel), Certificate for Payment (Excel), Billing Proof (JD Edwards), Cover Letter (Word). Reconcile to Job Cost and Subcontract status. * Submit Invoice to Project Manager for review and approval. * Once approved and submitted to owner, post billing in order to book the receivable to the General Ledger and revenue to Job Cost. * Ensure proper accounting treatment of Non-reimbursable costs to the proper Sub Job. MONTHLY REPORTS Job Cost Reports * Run detail job cost and verify that every cost transaction entered generates an income item. Items not reimbursable must be moved to the Non-reimbursable sub job * Circulate JC report to PM on monthly basis - excluding payroll. Anticipated Cost Report (ACR) * Verify Committed costs in the ACR agree to the subcontract status report. Resolve any variances. * Understand all major variances from budget. * Inform PM of open Cost Items older than 30 days. * Verify ACR agrees to the Project Status Report (PSR) for approved contract value, fee, savings/(overrun), and contingency. Reconcile variances. Project Status Report (PSR) * Complete Project Status Report (PSR) jointly with Operations on a monthly basis and submit to the Account Manager for Approval. * Ensure a GC forecast is completed for each project and properly reflected in the PSR. * Confirm Labor Contribution, if applicable, is properly calculated and reserved against. * Confirm with the Project Manager and Account Manager that the project incentive plan is correctly calculated and presented. * After approval is received from the Project Manager and Account Manager, approve and post the PSR to the Project database. Forecasting * Responsible for obtaining information from the project team for a 8 quarter rolling forecast RECEIVABLES * Establish with the project team who, from SKANSKA, will follow up on Receivables with the client. Notify Project Manager of outstanding receivables on monthly basis for follow up. * Apply cash when payment has been received and notify Project Manager * Make any adjustments for short payments or over payments. * Ensure 100% of cash receipts have been properly applied by the end of each month. Corporate suspense account must be zero at the end of each month. COMMITMENT MAINTENANCE Determine that original subcontract and change orders are properly executed, and Scanned/filed Contract Processing * Request contract number and vendor setup as required * Ensure all executed commitments and CO's are entered in JDE * Ensure there is a current certificate of insurance on file that meets requirements. * Contract over $250k require P&P Bond, OR owner indemnification, OR subguard DISBURSEMENTS * Ensure Subcontractor invoices are being delivered to Project Accounting per the established cutoff dates and times as set forth by the Accounts Payable department. Ensure the following documentation is in place: * Total Executed Contract / Change Orders in JD Edwards must be sufficient to cover the requested payment * Partial Waiver / General Release, as required. * Valid Certificate of Insurance as shown in the designated Insurance Database. * The Estimate for Payment (EFP) must have an original Project Managers/Superintendent signature and either an original invoice from the subcontractor or an original signature on the EFP from the subcontractor. * Handle calls from Subcontractors / Suppliers regarding status of payment. * Ensure proper sales and use tax compliance. * We must have been paid by the client or Project Manager's / Account Manager's approval accompanies request for advance payment, within issued approval authority guidelines. OWNER'S CONTRACTS * Ensure that an Operational Risk Assessment is on file. * Determine that the original contract (and change orders ) are properly executed & filed. * Obtain copy of owner's contract and familiarize him/herself with financial aspects of the contract. What You'll Need: * Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products; * Strong written and verbal communication skills; * Excellent math skills; * Ability to multi-task; * Functions effectively as part of a team; * Dependability; * Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times; * Ability to understand and follow directions; * Good time management and organizational skills. * Broad understanding of industry Education and/or Experience: * Associates Degree desired; * General understanding of General Accepted Accounting Practices and cost accounting; * 2-4 years of accounting experience.
