General Summary
Daily Thermetrics is a growing, privately-held manufacturer, seeking a hands-on accountant. This position is responsible for providing accounting and finance support to major accounting areas including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and accounts reconciliation. This is a highly visible and important role within our organization, that supports all departments, and sales bids & projects, payroll, as well as client contact.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide support to all company departments, sales, payroll, through accounting bests practices.
Involvement in business registration, tax compliance and creating, distributing, and reporting tax datasheets.
Working knowledge of intercompany transactions and reconciliation in preparation for audit
Working knowledge of tax filing and tax compliance as it pertains to state and federal level regulations
Demonstrated ability to work in a leadership role and supervise junior-level subordinates
Experience in company and departmental budget creation and maintenance.
Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions
Thorough understanding of financial application security ensuring that all financial data is secure and complies with confidentiality policies, recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
Required knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Payroll Software, also strongly prefer ERP manufacturing specific software (Syteline experience strongly preferred), and other applications related to finance and accounting
Must be an outstanding communicator, and have established skills in accuracy, organization, and working in a high-volume environment
Demonstrated ability to support all other departments within the company and coordinate training and information sessions.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, in Accounting or Finance field
2 - 4 years of previous experience in related industry or business field
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
Awareness of business and finance trends
2 - 4 years of general ledger financial reporting experience in a manufacturing environment
Involvement in business registration, tax compliance and creating, distributing, and reporting tax datasheets
Professional communication skills (verbal & written)
Strong attention to detail in a dynamic work environment with the ability to consistently recognize changing priorities
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office; strongly prefer ERP manufacturing specific software
Organized & detail-oriented with a commitment to 100% accuracy
Enthusiastic team player, Creative thinker, focus on bottom-line results.
