Pay Range: $21.83 to $23.19

Position Summary:

Applies principles of accounting to assist in processing and analyzing financial information. The incumbent will prepare customer billing to ensure timely and accurate invoices. The position performs a variety of general accounting support tasks at the direction of management.

Essential Functions:

The duties identified below are the essential functions of the position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Process In Kind, including entry into Excel worksheet, processing journal vouchers into the GL, and contacting supervisors if errors or questions

  • Reconcile balance sheets and payroll accounts for accuracy, verifies balances and makes recommendations for adjustments if necessary on a regular basis

  • Assist in prepare monthly financial reports, including updating financial data daily in preparation for the report

  • Monitor check deposit log and verifies against bank deposits

  • Provide back up of duties if Accounts Payable accountant, Accounts Receivable accountant, or Payroll Specialist, is unavailable: including approval of purchase orders and processing check runs and billing

  • Provide any other support needed to the accounting team

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skill required. The individual must be able to successfully pass routine background checks.

Education/Experience: Associate degree (A. A.) in Accounting. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software, and Accounting software.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Must have a valid Indiana driver's license and the ability to meet the minimum requirements of the insurance carrier at all times.
