POSITION TITLE: Accountant
REPORTS TO: Manager - Accounting
POSITION SUMMARY:
Support the Accounting Department duties with emphasis on asset accounting including fixed assets, prepaid expenses and leases.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate with business partners to understand the projects and transactions being recorded
Analyze transactions and balances to ensure that they are appropriately recorded in the general ledger
Prepare and review routine recurring and non recurring journal entries
Prepare monthly reconciliations between subledgers and general ledger balances
Assist in the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close process
Assist in the setup and administration of asset management systems and processes
Assist in the preparation of key internal reporting
Prepare required documentation for financial audits and reviews
Assist in maintenance of Sarbanes Oxley compliance
Additional responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting required
1-3 year's experience in corporate accounting or equivalent public accounting experience
Lawson and Hyperion software experience preferred
Asset management software experience preferred
Cadency reconciliation and journal entry software experience preferred
High degree of proficiency with standard Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail
Strong analytical, prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team

Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
