Responsibilities Responsibilities: Reviews prepared financial statements for accuracy and provides analysis and interpretation of the financial data.

Cross trains with other department members, under the direction of the accounting supervisor and/or manager.

Prepares or reviews audit schedules and bank reconciliation reports, as necessary. Prepares various month-end accruals.

Initiates or responds to calls and other inquiries regarding accounting or financial matters.

Assists with budget planning and preparation. Initiates requests and collects data and reports for month-end close.

Performs other duties which could include:

Supporting corporate leaders with monthly departmental budget vs actual reviews Strong analytical skills are needed to prepare variance analyses for these meetings. Or Payroll related accounting

  • Ensuring all payroll transactions are recorded to the general ledger timely and accurately. Reconciling payroll related accounts - taxes, benefits, etc Or Accounting for all revenue, stats and cost of revenue/expenses for our hospice line of business Month End Close, JEs, analysis, balance sheet schedules, financial statement presentation, statistics, analysis and scrubbing of expenses and accruals Annual reporting of Hospice Cap All of our Accounting positions require strong organizational skills, attention to detail and competency in Microsoft Excel Qualifications Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

    Strong computer and software skills and proficient with spreadsheet applications.

    Preferred One year accounting experience. Experience with Peoplesoft application.
