Project Description:

In this role the collections agent will be instrumental in handling our clients' accounts receivable functions, securing payments and resolving discrepancies. The role will be to collect money from customers globally, analyze data and work closely with the payments product team to identify opportunities that improve processes and reduce liabilities as related to payment problems occurring on the platform. We are looking for motivated, analytical, organized, inquisitive, smart and creative individuals who can operate with an international mindset to collect payments, while providing excellent and considerate customer service to our users!


  • Research high-volume of collection cases and perform timely follow-ups to resolve payment issues.

  • Assist users with payment problems and confusion and make quick and sound decisions to minimize losses.

  • Generate reports and document any issues involving our users, notify the rest of the team of any unusual or out of place activity.

  • Analyze and interpret data, tackle discrepancies, and proactively create solutions to fix issues you encounter.

  • Work closely with Product and other cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize workflow and system improvements.

Required Skills:

  • 1-3 years of collections or accounts receivable experience or are willing to be trained.

  • Must be available for a regular schedule of 40 hours a week with excellent customer service.

  • Strong verbal, written, and communication skills with the ability to tactfully communicate and handle case information with users.

  • Self starter with basic data analytical skills and Excel knowledge.

Preferred Skills:

  • CPA Certified

This role will establish strategic and collaborative methods of increasing cash flow, reducing bad debt and increasing sales volume. In addition, the Director of Accounts Receivable will standardize processes and procedures and continuously improve the financial and operational processes of the group. This position is responsible for the quality and collection of an accounts receivable portfolio of approximately $100 million and the bank reconciliation of the company's operating and collection accounts. The Role: * Manage centralized billing, credit, collections and cash applications for all North America facilities * Drive process improvements through setting targets for key metrics and implementing more efficient tools * Analyze receivable aging, identify credit risks/trends, and propose solutions that will maximize sales and minimize credit exposure through effective credit structuring * Manage processes for assessment and extension of credit, collection of receivables, application of cash received and AR/DSO forecasting * Prepare and review reports on the status of credit and collections matters with senior management * Actively manage and develop team through setting challenging goals and maintaining accountability in order to meet companywide objectives * Establish goals and monitor key performance metrics to measure the quality and efficiency of the invoicing, credit and collection processes * Develop relationships with sales, customer experience, portfolio operations, accounting, legal and other departments in order to provide transparency into the collection processes as well as consistently enhance the overall quality of the collection process * Responsible for personnel development, assigning and directing work, setting objectives, performance management and other managerial tasks * Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company's policies & procedures. Work with internal and external auditors and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all audit deliverables. The Requirements: * 10 -15 years of relevant experience.
