Accountant

Job Description Job Description A reputable distribution company in Bayonne, NJ and will move to Brooklyn, NY on Jan 24 is looking for an accountant for immediate hire, The ideal candidate will be involved with day-to-day operations A/P, A/R and general ledger, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.

This is a full-time onsite position; local candidates only MUST be able to commute daily to our office in Brooklyn. PLEASE NOTE THAT TILL MOVING TO BROOKLYN, NY THE COMPANY WILL COVER YOUR TRANSPORTATION EXPENSES TO BAYONNE NJ. Responsibilities Perform day to day assigned tasks.

General ledger maintenance. Month end closing reports. Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred but not required. 1-3 Years of accounting experience. Advanced user of Excel spreadsheets. Experience in A/R and/or A/P.

Experience in inventory management and/or AP accounts. Experience with JE posting and month-end closing process. Industry Distribution and general trading.
