Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for an Accountant in Richland, WA.

This position will support Navarro-ATL. Navarro-ATL is located in Richland, WA, and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. The Navarro-ATL members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD).

Responsible for providing financial guidance, analysis and reporting for assigned area(s) of operations. Responsible for compiling, analyzing, and processing financial information in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and contract terms, ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place to maintain data integrity. Assist Finance Manager in developing, maintaining, and supporting financial business systems and processes. Ensure timely, accurate, and appropriate interaction with and response to all audits and inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Under general supervision, analyzes financial data and provides insight on current trends, fluctuations, and variances.
• Analyze, interpret, and report weekly and monthly financial results.
• Conduct reviews of timekeeping procedures currently in place at Navarro-ATL to ensure 222-S Laboratory Contract is in compliance with DOE guidelines.
• Conduct compliance checks of the Navarro-ATL facilities to ensure Navarro-ATL employees are currently recording their time correctly.
• Responds to data and audit requests through analysis and reporting of data.
• Conducts audits/appraisals of selected financial, cost and accounting functions.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with representatives throughout the organization.
• Extracts, uploads, and integrates data from multiple systems.
• Invoices, bills, and provides a variety of reports.
• Develops internal project plans and schedules.
• May contribute to the development or revision of accounting policies and practices.
• Generates required financial reports and metrics as needed.
• Performs review and reports on processes, documentation, desktop instructions and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A working knowledge of Asset Suite.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and Adobe Acrobat. 
• Understanding of relevant Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) and Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations (DEAR).

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)

Grade 14: $71,200 - $89,800

In accordance with the Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc (Navarro) salary determination process, Navarro takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities and the candidate’s education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. A candidate's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
