The Bureau of Company Licensing and Financial Analysis is seeking an individual with supervisory experience who displays attention to detail and great analytical skills. Put your audit and accounting skills to work as you oversee the review and analysis of insurance company financial statements and other filings for compliance and solvency standards protecting policyholders across the state and beyond.

Our ideal candidate will have strong supervisory skills and be highly organized and self-motivated. In addition, the candidate must exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to understand and apply laws, rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
    One year as an Accountant 2; OR three years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience, and graduation from a four-year college or university, including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting. Four years of bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting may be substituted for college graduation. A Master's degree in Accounting or a related field may be substituted for one year of general work experience.

This position is responsible for conducting safety and security oversight (SSO) of rail fixed guideway transit systems for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. You will be responsible for providing state rail safety and regulatory oversight throughout the Commonwealth. In addition, you will manage all program activities and contracts within the assigned area to promote effective state rail safety programs to ensure compliance to federal rail safety requirements, and provide statewide program guidance for the creation of regulatory changes. The SSO program is responsible for independent safety and security oversight of rail fixed guideway transit systems in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Work involves the collection, organization, and analysis of data required to review the existing safety operations of the mass transit operating agencies. The Rail Transit Safety Review Program is responsible for overseeing the safety and security of rail transit throughout Pennsylvania.
