Accountant 2 (Parks Recreation & Open Spaces)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and one year of accounting experience; OR Bachelor's degree to include 9 semester credits in Accounting and one year of accounting experience; OR one year of satisfactory performance as an Accountant 1 in the County service is required; OR five years of Accounting experience may substitute for the required four year of college education.

Recruitment Notes

• This is advanced and experienced accounting work which will apply advanced principles and methods in the preparation, maintenance, analysis, and control of financial records. Employees in this class are responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and reconciling accounting transactions, as well as assisting with adjustments related to PROS General, Trust, and Special Funds. Key responsibilities include credit card and bank reconciliations, processing open voucher payments, identifying, and recording credit card chargebacks, and providing support for month-end closing activities. This position is expected to provide substantive support and collaboration with end of fiscal month closing activities and assist on various other tasks and projects as needed.
