THE JOB / Account Trainee, Luxury Automotive - Motorsport
We're looking for an Account Trainee to assist in the execution of on track hospitality programs during a full season of Motorsport races around the country throughout 2020.
You'll be responsible for market research, pre-event planning, shipping & travel manifests, vendor communication and on-site management, and post-event recaps. You'll work with a team to communicate with various internal and external partners, vendors, and clients. Excellent attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills are required for this position. Travel is also required, including weekends, nights and holidays.
THE WORK YOU'LL DO
Provide support to Octagon Motorsport team in office by helping develop, lead, and execute key program elements
Build event run of shows, staff schedules, staff guides, and contingency plans
Act as a liaison between event staff and Octagon Motorsport staff
Coordinate the shipping of event assets for each event
Develop staff travel manifests and assist with travel booking as needed
Track expenses and internal processing of invoices
Assist in development of event recaps and gather staff timesheets post-event
Work/travel on weekends, holidays and during non-traditional hours
Travel including driving for extended periods of time in daylight and some evenings

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You have a passion for and expertise in sports, entertainment, gaming, music and/or celebrity culture
Passion for luxury automotive, particularly Motorsport racing a strong plus
Up to a year's worth of work or internship experience in communications, advertising, event management/production or marketing industries
Previous event marketing experience a strong plus
Detail-attentive; ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and produce quality work within tight deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
Proven ability to work as part of a team in addition to solving problems independently
Basic automobile industry knowledge is helpful, but not required
Bachelor's degree in a related field
